Based in Galway city, String Serenade offer quality string quartet, duo and trio ensemble music for all occasions including church weddings, civil ceremonies, same-sex marriages, pre-drinks receptions, corporate functions, funerals and special celebrations.

The musicians in String Serenade are all full time music professionals, combining working as music teachers with freelance work as performers and session musicians. 

No strangers to high profile occasions we have performed for dignitaries mostly notably President of Ireland Mary McAleese and Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald and at numerous prestigious events and venues such as Dromoland and Ashford Castle. 

In July 2019 we played at the ‘Celebrity Wedding of the Century’ of Bryan O’Sullivan and James O’Neill at Ballinahinch Castle.

Our aim is to provide the most professional package possible for you. Our repertoire includes popular classical favourites, show music, tangos, traditional Irish music and much more.  We provide friendly advice on how to plan the music for that special occasion and provide helpful hints on how to choose music for wedding day ceremonies.

We are adding to our repertoire all the time to provide as wide a range of music as possible and welcome requests for music not featured on our playlist which we will be happy to source and include in your special occasion where possible.
